THE inaugural South Devon Skills Festival incorporating the annual South Devon Skills Awards will be a hands-on skills and careers event aimed at attracting people from across the region.
It's about the area's top employers, colleges, training providers and guidance advisors interacting with school leavers, students and people, young and old, with aspirations to either start a career, develop a career or to learn new skills to enable a career change.
This free skills festival will feature skills demonstrations and interactive features, real people and real jobs, skills performances, advice and general guidance.
The exhibition will take place in the main building at South Devon College on September 13, from 10am to 4pm.
By engaging visitors with focused seminars and activities, the opportunity exists for exhibitors to access South Devon's current and future workforce; inspiring them, entertaining them and most importantly informing them about career development opportunities in the region.
A few exhibition stands are still available, and interested parties should contact Justin Hall on 07703 502478 or email to: email@example.com for further details.
The event will also host the third annual South Devon Skills Awards, organised in association with Torbay Council and the Torbay Development Agency, as part of their on-going commitment to support local enterprise and encourage businesses to develop and grow.
These awards celebrate excellence and skills and acknowledge the many outstanding achievements in business over the past year in the region.
