The United Kingdom is home to a wide variety of spectacular, inspiring landscapes from salt marshes, chalk cliffs and ancient woodland, to historic villages, parklands and cityscapes.

The inspiring images, taken by both amateur and professional landscape photographers, have been recognised as some of the very best by the judges of the sixth annual Landscape Photographer of the Year competition. The stunning images have now been compiled in a new book, Landscape Photographer Of The Year. Highlights range from inspiring views of starry night skies such as David Dummett's image of Bowerman's Nose on Dartmoor to the lush countryside captured in Andrew Wheatley's The Punch Bowl, Somerset.

'Landscape Photographer Of The Year: Collection 6 is published by AA Publishing and is out now.
