IT is an X Factor final party in Torquay tonight for the relatives of Sam Bailey who live in the town.

Diane and Dez Mildren entertained about 20 friends and supporters of the X Factor star as they cheered her on for the final time.

Diane's brother Craig is married to Sam who has stormed through all the rounds to the X Factor final and been dubbed 'the voice'.

Diane said: "We are over the moon that she is through. It is a dream. She has been singing for years just in pubs and club and now she is at Wembley.

"We are so proud of her.

"We think she can go all the way as she has been so consistent."

The Mildrens were partying all evening at their house in Ellacombe.

This week Diane, 42, made a trip to Leicester for Sam's homecoming gig.

She said: "It was absolutely amazing. There were thousands and thousands of people there. It was red carpet and autographs the lot.

"I saw her and she was just giving her daughter a hug and I said 'what about us from Torquay?' She was so surprised we were there. She said ' oh my god'.

"The gig was at the Athena in Leicester and the next day she performed at a working men's club and Sharon Osborne was pulling pints and singing. She loved it.

"It is definitely surreal. She has been so consistent and she has done really well."

Diane's mum Sally made a special huge jam tart which was taken down to the show tonight with her auntie with a good luck message for Sam.

The Herald jump ship quicker than a Lib Dem. Looks like now their favourite 'nice lad who can't sing' has been kicked out the Herald are set to airbrush him from their memory Stalinesque style. Sam Bailey is the voice of Torbay now, Luke Friend is a counter revolutionary who can't be trusted. Watch out for those ice picks Luke.
