The ladies-only night walk will take place on Saturday 6th July and is set to be the best yet.

Billed as 'South Devon's biggest pyjama party', the Sleep Walk has raised over £380,000 for Rowcroft since 2011. Now that it's back for its third year, the organisers are hoping for an even greater show of support for the hospice.

Laura Carus, Events Manager at Rowcroft said: "2013 is already shaping up to be another great year for the event. As The Sleep Walk route takes in the Paignton and Torquay seafronts, this year's theme celebrates all that is great about the British seaside. So think deck chairs, sticks of rock, and kiss-me-quick hats! We really hope to see walkers, both old and new, signing up to take part."

The Sleep Walk is a sponsored night walk open to ladies aged 12 and over. Walkers can choose from a 5, 10 or the new 15 mile route, starting and finishing at the Riviera Centre in Torquay, via all important refreshment and rest stops.

All funds raised from the walk go directly to Rowcroft Hospice, helping to provide care and support to people with progressive, life-limiting illnesses in South Devon. Care is provided at the hospice and wherever it is needed in the wider community, which covers a 300 square mile area from Dartmouth to Dawlish and all the way out into Dartmoor.

Laura said: "Last year, over 2000 walkers registered to take part in the event, raising a phenomenal £200,000 for the hospice. Every penny of this money is spent in South Devon, helping local people when they need it most. The support we receive from the local business community is also vital to the success of the walk and we're delighted to once again have the support of drinks brand, Shloer and Devon based WBW Solicitors."

In 2012, Rowcroft's Sleep Walk was the third most successful hospice night walk across the UK in terms of funds raised, coming in just behind hospices in Ayr and Manchester which raised £203,000 each.

Laura commented: "To be able to say South Devon hosts the third most successful hospice night walk is quite an achievement. It simply would not be the success it is without the support of all our walkers, volunteers, local businesses and health and safety team. We really hope that this year's event will be even bigger and better."
