A NEW retail outlet has opened in the Newton Abbot indoor market.

Mim’s Emporium has taken over the market’s wholefoods store.

Run by James and Su Stewart, the business started out as an online shop catering for speciality diets.

James said: “My wife and I have attended various events around the South West including the Christmas without cruelty fair in Exeter and the Taunton vegan fair, among others.

“The success of these events, along with the success of our website, made us realise there was a demand for our products and services. We were lucky enough to be offered a chance to move into the Newton Abbot indoor market and take over the already established whole food shop.

“We will continue to stock the majority of the whole food lines already offered by the current outlet but plan to expand our ranges to cater for a number of speciality diets including gluten -free, diabetic, vegan and coeliac. We also intend to move into cruelty-free toiletries.”
