At 3am they answered reports that a skip was on fire at the Old Monastery in Berry Drive.
One fire engine was sent and the crew found the fire had spread to scaffolding on an adjacent property.
It was put out quickly with slight damage to the waste shute.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Then at 6.45am a crew was sent to Longstone Road, Tweenaway, after a saucepan was left on a cooker. The fire was out when they arrived but there was smoke damage to the kitchen.
