THREE games in and it's easy to make judgements of doom and gloom because we've only got two points from nine.
Relegation battle? How can one possibly even propose the possibility, when there are 43 games left in the 125th season of the football league?
Remember fellow Gulls fans, we have a nearly completely different side from last season. We have at least two new faces in each position (excluding the goalkeeper of course) and there is one thing a new set of players need and that is time, luckily we have that and plenty of it.
In fact we have 3,870 minutes left of football this season for the new transfers to gel. Kyrstian Pearce, the new number five (who I still mistake for Brain Saah) and Aaron Downes' new centre back partner signed from Notts County, has shown calmness and coolness...just like Saah.
Courtney Cameron, the ex-Villa player has shown pace and skill down the wing. Just a few more games getting to know the players around him, and he will be a player who spells danger for opposing teams.
I won't go on about each player we have signed, even though Harding, Hawley and Ball have all shown good attributes.
However, the one player that has personally shone for me, is the ex-Torquay United loanee of last season, Jordan Chappell. He is quick, skilful and finds space very well.
I was very surprised when he wasn't in the starting XI against Oxford on Saturday. But, as I said before, we have loads and loads of time before the end of the season to make this team a good standard League Two side.
Just keep supporting the new lads and they'll fit right in here at TUFC.
