A THIEF walked into Torquay's Dinosaur World and stole £140 from the till.
The opportunist walked into the foyer, turned the key to the unattended till behind the desk and helped himself.
The thief then made a quick exit before anyone could spot him.
David Hill, manager of the attraction, has appealed to the public for help to catch the culprit.
He said: "Whoever did it acted pretty quickly. It must have taken them about 15 seconds to come in and get out again."
The incident happened at about 1.45pm on Thursday, February 21.
The attraction was open for the half-term school holiday and Mr Hill says it was busy with families.
"It was quite bizarre that he happened to find the right moment when the till was unattended and there were so many people around that day who could have seen him.
"It may be that he had a spotter outside to warn him if anyone should come in behind or he may have been waiting outside for the right moment to enter."
Police have been informed and anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference FT131079.
